Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician II to perform a variety of laboratory tests to aid diagnosis, potentially including specimen collection and trainee supervision. This hourly, full-time role requires an associate degree and CLT certification.

You will conduct quality control, equipment preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot with guidance from the Lab Manager. Experience of 3 years in CLT is preferred; ASCP/AMT CLT certification required.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree as a Clinical Laboratory Technician.
• Successful completion of the ASCP or AMT CLT exam or obtained within the first year of employment.
• Alternative associate degrees are acceptable.
• Successful completion of ASCP or AMT CLT certification exam prior to employment.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years CLT experience.
• License/Certifications: CLT(ASCP) or (AMT).

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of laboratory testing to aid in diagnosis.
• May include specimen collection and training personnel and students.
• Performs quality control and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoots minor issues with guidance from senior staff.
