Responsibilities

Professional development—maintain currency through continuing education and mandatory training; participate in committees as needed.
Process improvement—identify and suggest improvements, collect data, and assist in implementing changes.
Technical—collect samples for laboratory testing, receive and accession specimens, register in LIS/EPIC, and perform supervised testing.
Customer service—act as a patient/provider advocate, educate patients and families, and respond to concerns.
Department support—maintain accurate, timely work; assist with registrations, scans, and logistics; train onboarding staff.
