Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Nashville is seeking a Specimen Management professional for 1st shift to triage and process advanced specimens independently. You will work closely with laboratory staff, medical staff and external customers, including troubleshooting and pre-analytical resolution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in clinical laboratory support is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Sorting, triaging, receiving, sending, processing and batching specimens.
• Accessioning specimens received with a requisition.
• Processing samples pre-analytically for testing.
• Processing test add-ons and resolving any pre-analytical issues.
• Providing general clerical support.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
