Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have U.S. citizenship or be eligible per VA policy for non-citizens
• English language proficiency in accordance with 38 U.S.C. § 7403 (f)

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, interprets, correlates, and validates the accuracy of laboratory procedures and results.
• Tests procedures on a variety of biological specimens and environmental samples using manual or automated techniques.
• Demonstrates broad independent judgment and responsibility with minimal technical supervision.
• Accepts responsibility for maintaining quality control, accuracy, and timeliness of laboratory work.
• Adheres to VA qualification standards and possible grandfathering provisions when applicable.
