Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA.

Responsibilities

• Performs and reports waived, moderately complex, and highly complex test procedures on patient specimens adhering to SOPs.
• Provides clinical correlation of results and rapid notification of caregivers of critical values.
• Ensures major automated equipment is operational through maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting.
• Performs calibration and quality control procedures and maintains records.
• Participates in proficiency testing and reviews results with laboratory leaders.
• Assists in evaluating and documenting validations of new procedures and equipment.
