CareDx, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II in Brisbane, CA. The CLS will perform high-complexity testing in a CLIA-certified lab, ensure QC, and support SOP development under supervision and later with greater independence.

Qualifications

• California CLS license required.
• BS/BA in biology-related science.
• 6+ years of high-complexity testing experience in a clinical lab.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Molecular testing experience (PCR, real-time PCR) desirable.
• Immunology or microbiology experience preferred.
• Understanding of complex treatment algorithms highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Handle and process patient samples, analyze results, prepare reports and maintain records.
• Accession samples into LIMS to facilitate throughput.
• Maintain QC policies and document instrument calibrations and maintenance.
• Protect PHI and confidentiality of information.
• Identify and correct issues affecting test performance; escalate as needed.
• Document corrective actions for test deviations.
• Train employees and contribute to SOP development.
• Represent the reference lab in cross-group interactions.
• Follow up on proficiency testing and QA results.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the CLM.
