Job summary

BayCare is hiring a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II for a part-time position at Morton Plant in Largo, FL. The role involves performing diagnostic testing, quality control, and reporting results in accordance with standard procedures.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field, plus at least 4 years of CLS experience. Florida licensure is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4 years of clinical laboratory experience required.
• Associate’s degree in Medical Technology or related field is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing and quality control procedures.
• Prepare reagents and report results according to established policies and procedures.
• Perform moderate to high complexity laboratory testing.
• Maintain computer applications and troubleshoot as needed.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and supply inventory.
• Assist with training and orientation of testing personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
