Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist for Hematology Morphology Lab in Rochester, MN. This non-exempt role performs analyses on blood and urine, supporting diagnosis and patient care under supervision, with travel to other Mayo sites as needed.

Required MT/MLS/CLS credentials or equivalents, along with certification options and visa considerations. Strong computer, communication, and time-management skills are essential; phlebotomy and related certifications may be preferred.

Qualifications

• HEW certificate may substitute for degree.
• Visa sponsorship requires CGFNS Visa Screen certification.
• Experience in a medical field preferred.
• Moderate to advanced computer skills required.
• Strong written and oral communication; time management and adaptability emphasized.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Receive direction from Lab Manager, Regional Director and Laboratory Medical Director.
• Work cooperatively with Administration, Physicians, Allied Health Staff, patients and residents.
• Perform analyses on biological specimens (e.g., blood, urine) to aid diagnosis and treatment.
• Support testing operations and workflow optimization.
