Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist for the M-Pathology Lab, with an evening shift. The role involves performing tests on patient specimens, maintaining quality records, and supporting diagnostic processes 24/7 in a major Indiana health system.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related field, has at least one year of experience, and will obtain board certification within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related sciences.
• One (1) year of relevant experience.
• Certification or eligibility for ASCP, AMT, NCA or equivalent certification within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests on patient specimens and provide information for diagnosis, treatment or prevention of diseases.
• Maintain records of performance and ensure quality control standards.
• May train staff and students on laboratory procedures and techniques.
• Operate and troubleshoot hematology and chemistry analyzers; perform phlebotomy when needed.
