Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital Jordan Valley seeks a Medical Lab Scientist to analyze and report tests ordered by the Medical Staff, ensuring timely results in accordance with laboratory procedures and regulatory guidelines. You will perform diverse tests, document findings, and collaborate with healthcare providers to support patient care decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA.
Must be appropriately trained in clinical laboratory science as evaluated by the Director of the Clinical Laboratory.

Responsibilities

Performs cytogenetic testing with a high level of competency according to established protocols.
Generates and reports results which are used for making accurate diagnoses and prognoses, which influences patient care and management.
Responsible for accurate and timely result reporting, including communication and documentation of critical results.
Utilizes critical thinking skills and exercises independent judgment to correlate and interpret data.
Responsible for operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instruments and appropriate documentation of activities.
Completes required QC and maintenance, consistently recognizing variances and documenting appropriate corrective action.
