Valley Children's Healthcare in California seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform diverse laboratory procedures across hematology, microbiology, chemistry, immunology, urinalysis, and more. The role supports Cell Therapy Laboratory activities and may act as CTL CLS-In-Charge when supervisors are not present.
Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and California CLS licensure; a Master's is preferred.
Accountable for performing laboratory procedures using a variety of instruments and procedures. Performs laboratory analyses at a highly proficient level and serves as a resource to coworkers for complex problem solving within the scope of the procedures performed in the laboratory. Areas of responsibility may include one or more of the following: hematology, coagulation, immunohematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, immunology, urinalysis, molecular biology, point of care testing (POCT) and histopathology. Participates in the CLS Training Program as opportunities arise. Functions as section in-charge and/or CLS In-Charge of the laboratory when supervisors are not present.
