Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform a wide range of tests used to diagnose, treat and prevent disease in a fast-paced laboratory setting on the evening shift in Pleasanton, California.
You will analyze specimens, ensure accuracy, report results, and maintain turn‑around times while following safety and regulatory requirements. The role offers opportunities to mentor students and staff and requires a Bachelor’s degree and CLS certification.
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) performs a wide range of medical laboratory tests used to diagnose, treat and prevent disease. Using technical knowledge and a theoretical understanding of the basis of the tests, records and validates the accuracy and quality of results to ensure conformity to specifications. Understands and applies the correct control measures and protocols in cases of abnormal results, escalating discrepancies as appropriate. Communicates with clinical staff and medical staff when results are critical or require urgent attention. Guides, trains and may provide mentoring to students and/or technical staff as appropriate.

Bachelor's Degree in a work‑related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.
6 months to 1 year of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
CLS required.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $58.72 - $79.33 per hour. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
