Job description

Pay range: $21.79 - $35.31

Overlake Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Clinical Lab Assistant! The Clinical Lab Assistant is responsible for specimen collection (venipuncture/fingerstick), preparation, and other duties as assigned that are consistent with skills and training, including but not limited to:

  1. Phlebotomy
  2. Specimen Processing
  3. Point of Care Testing

1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week pay period)

Days: Monday - Friday (Weekly), 0900-1800

8 Hour Shifts

Qualifications:
Clinical Lab Assistant
  • License through Washington State Department of Health - Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification (PC).
  • Technical training/certification in phlebotomy.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Six months hospital experience preferred.
  • Experience with phlebotomy on neonatal, pediatric, geriatric, adult, trauma, and critical patients also preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Customer Service experience preferred.
Clinical Lab Assistant II
  • American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) registration a plus.
  • License through Washington State Department of Health - Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification (PC) required.
  • Technical training/certification in phlebotomy.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years hospital experience required.
  • Experience with phlebotomy on neonatal, pediatric, geriatric, adult, trauma, and critical patients required.
  • Customer Service experience preferred.
