Job summary

Manpower Group (USA) in Wood Dale, IL is seeking an entry-level laboratory operations teammate for night shifts to support specimen processing and diagnostic testing. The role contributes to patient care and requires attention to detail, safety, and teamwork.

Responsibilities include instrument maintenance, QA/QC, data logging, and safe handling of biohazardous materials while working the 1:00 AM - 9:30 AM schedule for 40 hours weekly. Potential pathway to full employment offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sort and receive specimens within the laboratory department.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance on designated equipment.
• Centrifuge specimens, record data, and maintain temperature logs.
• Prepare reagents and media as needed.
• Aliquot specimens and ready samples for testing.
• Check specimens for clots and fibrin and perform slide preparation activities.
• Complete QA/QC responsibilities and resolve pending worklists.
• Locate missing samples and manage specimen storage.
• Decontaminate work areas and follow PPE safety rules.
• Perform weekly radioactive wipe tests and maintain records.
• Operate lab computer systems and standard PC applications.
• Dispose of biohazardous materials according to safety procedures.
• Complete required training and competency assessments.

Pay Rate: $19.80 per hour

Employment Type: Contingent with potential pathway for hire

Schedule: 1:00 AM - 9:30 AM, Nights (40 hours per week)
