Job summary

CCRM Fertility, a global pioneer in fertility treatment and research, is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant in Lone Tree, CO. This full-time role supports phlebotomy, blood processing, and lab operations within the Clinical Lab department, reporting to the Lab Supervisor.

You will perform phlebotomy, manage specimen handling, assist with billing and reference laboratory communications, and help maintain compliance with HIPAA and OSHA.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Phlebotomy Certificate Required
  • Minimum of 200 documented, successful blood draws is required.
  • Working knowledge of laboratory software.
  • Able to collect payment for services rendered.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality for all clinic/lab information in accordance with CCRM security and confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide phlebotomy services to clinical laboratory patients according to CCRM protocols.
  • Confirm all information with patient and request any necessary changes.
  • Process sample(s) for testing and maintain electronic records.
  • Generate billing information for laboratory services and perform billing audits as required.
  • Maintain sanitary work environment and follow bloodborne pathogen handling procedures per OSHA guidelines.
  • Collaborate with genetic laboratories to ensure proper billing and resolve issues.

How You Will Make an Impact:The Clinical Lab Assistant makes a significant impact on patient care, healthcare efficiency, and medical research. Their attention to detail, commitment to quality, and adherence to protocols ensure that blood collection procedures are performed safely and accurately, contributing to accurate diagnosis, improved patient outcomes, and overall healthcare quality.

What You Will Do: The Clinical Laboratory Assistant is responsible for performing phlebotomy procedures, blood processing, obtaining lab results from reference laboratories, assisting with andrology related duties, and maintenance ofcomputer-generatedlogs and reports for patient testing and billing. The Clinical Laboratory Assistant reports to the Clinical Lab Supervisor.

  • Provide phlebotomy services to clinical laboratory patients according to CCRM protocols (i.e., patient identification, patient preparation, and specimen collection/labeling).
  • Confirm all information with patient and request/facilitate any necessary changes.
  • Confirm patient insurance information and ensure use of contracted reference laboratory whenappropriate; route billing information as “bill insurance”;“bill patient”;“bill client”.
  • Process sample(s) for testing, ensure proper transportation/storage conditions, complete requisition forms, and maintain electronic record of all processes.
  • Generate billing, charges, and payment information for laboratory services and perform billing audit as required.
  • Maintain sanitary work environment and follow bloodborne pathogen handling and disposal procedures per OSHA guidelines.
  • Maintain adequate supplies for phlebotomy procedures ; conduct inventory at pre-established intervals and order supplies to maintain inventory.
  • Follow established procedure for returned shipping kits.
  • Review and maintain the RSO to reflect current/pending orders daily.
  • Collaborate with genetic laboratories to ensure proper billing and resolve billing issues .
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

CCRM’s Compensation: The salary range represents the national average compensation for this position. The base salary offered will vary based on location, experience, skills, and knowledge. The pay range does not reflect the total compensation package. Our rewards may include an annual bonus, flexible work arrangements, and many other region-specific benefits.
