Job summary

Emerson Health is seeking a detail‑oriented Specimen Processing Technician to support rapid, accurate diagnostic workflows in our clinical laboratory.

You will receive, accession, and process diverse specimens, ensure proper labeling and data entry, and route samples to the correct departments while upholding HIPAA and safety standards. Evening shift opportunities provide exposure to critical patient care behind the scenes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laboratory, healthcare, or data entry experience preferred.
• Familiarity with computer systems and basic office software is a plus.

About The Role

Under the general supervision of the Phlebotomy/Specimen Processing Supervisor, you will perform essential specimen handling and processing tasks for clinical laboratory testing. This includes receiving, verifying, preparing, and routing samples to appropriate technical departments.
