Job summary

Tulane University School of Medicine's CHOICES seeks a physician-scientist to join as Clinician-Investigator. This full-time faculty role focuses on expanding clinical and population research, and leading investigator-initiated primary care and community-engaged studies to improve health.

Clinical work includes outpatient internal medicine, collaboration across departments, and mentoring fellows and residents, with opportunities to publish and present findings.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or foreign equivalent degree required.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or primary care.
• Eligible for Louisiana medical license.
• Clinical research experience and extramural funding track record.
• Experience developing a clinic and referral pipeline.
• Ability to lead investigator-initiated studies and disseminate results.
• Commitment to education and Tulane School of Medicine's guiding principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care in internal medicine or primary care.
• Develop and lead investigator-initiated clinical and population health research and trials.
• Collaborate with university programs, clinical and research partners.
• Mentor fellows, residents, and students; deliver Medical Grand Rounds.
• Perform duties as directed by the CHOICES Director.
