Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and 1000 hours internship under licensed preceptor.
• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing in Michigan.
• Must complete continuing education for re-licensure every two years.
• Basic word processing skills and able to operate hospital programs used in the Pharmacy.

Responsabilidades

• Reviews, interprets, and fills prescriptions; checks allergies, interactions, and dosing.
• Verifies orders with physicians and flags potential issues.
• Provides clinical information to physicians, nurses, and staff regarding medications.
• Records patient prescription data and updates profiles with allergies and diagnoses.
• Prepares/oversees IV medications and complex drug therapies as ordered.
• Oversees technicians and ensures accuracy of medications and stock for units.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy developments and continuing education requirements.
• Answers phone, processes medication orders, and provides patient data as needed.
