What You'll Be Doing:

As a Clinical Information Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for the effective implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of our electronic medical record (EMR) system. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the EMR system meets the needs of our healthcare providers and supports efficient and accurate patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare workflows, system configuration, data analysis, and exceptional problem-solving skills. This role is required to participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours and weekend support for emergent issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • System Optimization: Continuously evaluates and enhances the functionality and performance of the EMR system. Identifies areas for improvement in workflows, system configurations, and data capture to streamline processes and enhance user experience.
  • User Support and Training: Provides comprehensive end‑user support, including troubleshooting system issues, answering user inquiries, and resolving technical challenges. Develops and delivers training programs to ensure users have a solid understanding of the EMR system's features and functionalities. Participates in on‑call rotation to provide after‑hours and weekend support for emergent issues.
  • System Maintenance and Upgrades: Collaborates with IT and vendor teams to ensure the timely application of system patches, upgrades, and enhancements. Performs system testing to verify functionality, data integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engages with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, administrators, and IT teams, to gather requirements, understand user needs, and address system‑related concerns. Acts as a liaison between users and vendors to facilitate effective communication and problem resolution.
  • EMR System Implementation: Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to plan, coordinate, and execute the implementation of the EMR system. Leads activities such as system configuration, data conversion, workflow analysis, and user training to ensure a successful rollout.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintains comprehensive and up‑to‑date documentation of system configurations, processes, and user guidelines. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards, such as HIPAA, and participates in audits and reviews as needed.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilizes data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement within the EMR system. Generates reports and dashboards to support informed decision‑making, monitor system performance, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Industry Knowledge and Continuous Learning: Stays abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in healthcare IT and EMR systems. Proactively shares knowledge and insights with colleagues and identifies opportunities to leverage new functionalities to improve patient care processes.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field

On‑Call & After‑Hours Support

This position includes participation in a monthly on‑call rotation, which is compensated as part of the role's salary. Team members may also be required to work outside of standard business hours to support system configurations, deployments, and go‑live activities as needed.

Location & Schedule

This position is posted as remote; however, per company policy, candidates residing within a 35‑mile radius of ZIP code 80230 will be required to follow a hybrid schedule, even if they applied to the remote posting.
