Job summary

Albany Med Health System is seeking a Clinical Informatics Nurse to design and support information systems that enhance patient care and safety. The role integrates nursing practice with computing, data analytics, and system design under the supervision of the Director of Informatics.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN or related field and 1–3 years of acute-care nursing experience, plus 1–3 years of EHR implementation exposure.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field - required
1-3 years of acute-care nursing clinical experience - required
1-3 years of Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation experience - required
RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in NYS Upon Hire - required
INS - Informatics Nurse Specialist within 1-1/2 Yrs - preferred
Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

Designs and supports systems to improve quality and patient care outcomes using information technology.
Maintains current knowledge of applications and technology to guide system modifications.
Conducts workflow analysis to optimize technology use in patient care.
Collaborates with end users on all computer system related initiatives.
Co-Lead and coordinate user group forums to continuously evaluate and improve system functionality.
