Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System seeks an Emergency Services IT Clinical Liaison to boost high-quality, cost-effective care by optimizing clinical information technologies. You will ensure data collection, abstraction and analysis to drive performance improvement and support regulatory readiness.

This role interfaces with ED leadership and multiple departments to plan, implement, and support clinical informatics initiatives while maintaining compliance with regulatory bodies and hospital

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• RN with working knowledge of information technologies preferred.
• Recent experience in a clinical setting required.
• Healthcare information systems or related IT experience preferred.
• Ability to manage projects and collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates methodologies with respect to procedures, workflow, and forms in clinical departments when defining a new feature or enhancement.
• Develops and adheres to system standards during the development process.
• Conducts thorough review of ED patient charts and identifies documentation gaps.
• Contributes to clinical systems training materials development and delivers training when needed.
• Instructs hospital personnel in capabilities and potential uses of clinical systems.
• Coordinates review and approval for Order Set changes and communicates Guidelines.
• Facilitates order set standardization initiatives.
• Manages multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborates with ED leadership and PPS leadership to address clinical IT needs.
