Job summary

Baptist is seeking a hospital pharmacist to provide age-specific pharmaceutical care and basic clinical services in the designated unit. The role emphasizes safety, interdisciplinary collaboration, and participation in QA/PI activities within the hospital setting.

The candidate will manage medication orders, participate in pharmacotherapeutic planning, supervise the healthcare team, and contribute to unit goals and committees while leveraging automation to maximize safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• One year of hospital pharmacy experience.
• Current, active, unrestricted pharmacy licensure or eligibility with licensure within 120 days.
• B.S. or Pharm.D. required.
• BLS and/or ACLS certification or equivalent clinical training.
• Strong computer literacy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manages medication orders including age-specific considerations to ensure medication safety (i.e. processing, preparation and dispensing).
• Participates in pharmacotherapeutic plan processes.
• Manages own pharmacy practice effectively.
• Supervises and directs healthcare team members.
• Processes and prepares sterile products for dispensing.
• Contributes to goals, programs and report cards for unit/department/hospital.
• Participates actively on inter and intra-departmental committees.
• Maximizes safety and efficiency through appropriate use of automation.
• Completes assigned goals.
