Job summary

Strides Therapy & Educational Services is seeking a Clinical Fellow Speech-Language Pathologist for a full-time role in a Frederick, MD elementary school. You will assess, diagnose and treat communication disorders, collaborate with educators and families, and support IEP goals.

The position offers CFY eligibility, Maryland licensure pathways, and a comprehensive benefits package. Caseload includes 35-40 students with supervision during CFY. Salary is hourly at $50–$60.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
• Valid limited state licensure or ability to obtain licensure in Maryland (if applicable).
• Educator Certificate (if applicable).
• Experience working with school-age children preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication skills.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language goals.
• Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or group settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs.
• Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided and student progress.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and ongoing training.

Position Overview

As a Clinical Fellow Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work closely with students, educators, and families to assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders within the school setting. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide evidence-based interventions to support student success.

Additional Details

FCPS is currently seeking a full-time, fully licensed SLP (or CF) to fill an immediate vacancy for the 2026-27 school year. The position will support FMLA leave at an elementary school. Caseload size is 35-40 students.
