Job summary

SIU Medicine invites applications for a faculty position in the Decatur Family Medicine Residency program within the SIU Center for Family Medicine FQHC-Decatur. The role includes teaching residents and medical students, delivering inpatient, outpatient, and OB care when available, and engaging in scholarly activities.

The successful candidate will supervise learners, participate in call schedules, contribute to curriculum development, and advance clinical service within a diverse patient

Qualifications

• Board certified/Board eligible in Family Medicine.
• Graduate of an Accredited Family Medicine Residency Program.
• Licensed in the State of Illinois or eligible for Illinois Licensure.
• Possess or ability to possess a DEA number.
• Experienced with providing services to multicultural populations.
• Sensitive to the needs of underrepresented populations.

Responsibilities

• Teach residents and medical students in patient care activities and rounds.
• Provide direct patient care to own panel and participate in call schedule.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and committees.
• Assist in residency curriculum development and scholarly activities.
