Job summary

The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Sam Houston State University is seeking two 12-month Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor positions (Non-Tenure Track) to teach, advise, and contribute to scholarship and service. Appointments can begin as early as Fall 2026 and will be located on SHSU's Medical and Health Professions Campus in Conroe, Texas.

Candidates must hold an active PT license with post-licensure clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Physical Therapy license in the United States.
• Post-licensure clinical practice experience.
• Evidence of teaching ability.
• Commitment to physical therapy education.
• Board certification through ABPTS is preferred.
• Academic doctoral degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach and advise students in the DPT program.
• Contribute to scholarship and service.
