Sentara Therapy Center Tanglewood - Sports is hiring a Clinical Exercise Specialist for full-time work in Elizabeth City, NC. The role involves administering therapy under licensed supervision, providing targeted exercise and health education, and ensuring a safe, professional environment.

You will document patient responses and support treatment plans. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field and at least 1 year of clinical experience.

Provides quality exercise and health education for patients, assuring a safe, pleasant, and professional atmosphere. Productive and efficient in daily operations. Establishes and updates the exercise program to address the Client/participant's needs.Supervises and assists clients/participants with their daily exercise sessions, ensuring client/participant safety. Provides effective instruction to Clients/participants and their families through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training. Supports the health education needs of the center. Supports Therapist(s)/Providers in providing effective treatment plans. Documents patient response to treatment. Completes other clinical duties as assigned. Demonstrates ability to offer support and potential enhancements of services.EducationBachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Health Science, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Recreational Therapy, Physical Education, or Clinical Exercise Physiology.Experience1 year of clinical experience preferred.We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $23.84 - $36.02 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
