Job summary

The UCLA Health Ethics Center invites applications for a two-year, full-time Post-Doctoral Clinical Ethics Fellowship Program. The fellow will commit to a demanding clinical schedule, provide supervised ethics consultation, on-call coverage, and contribute to education, policy development, and research across the UCLA Health system.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in bioethics/healthcare ethics; or a Ph.D. in moral philosophy with a bioethics/healthcare ethics related dissertation.
• Teaching experience at university level and a record of ethics publications in peer reviewed journals preferred.
• Strong aptitude for clinical ethics and potential to become a leader in the field.
• Ability to integrate cross-cultural care and end-of-life, psychosocial and spiritual care into clinical ethics.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervised clinical ethics consultation and on-call coverage.
• Assist in developing institutional policies and participate in ethics committees.
• Engage in education, policy development and research across the UCLA Health system.
• Contribute to scholarly activities within the fellowship program.
