Prosser Memorial Health is seeking a per diem Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) to examine and maintain medical equipment ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The role includes educating personnel on equipment operation, performing preventive maintenance, and supervising on-site vendors.
The ideal candidate should possess an Associate's degree or equivalent military training, with a minimum of 4-8 years of related experience. This role requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Per diem/on call (1 position); varies as scheduled
Examine medical equipment or facility’s structural environment and check for proper use of equipment to protect against electrical or mechanical hazards and to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Associate’s degree, military training, or academic work aligned with AAMI’s Core Competencies for the Biomedical Equipment Technician, and a basic knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry, English and professional skills plus increased levels of certification and training as needed. In-depth understanding of common clinical terminology as well as that of life sciences such as anatomy and physiology. Comprehensive understanding of computers and network architecture.
Pay Range: ($33.89 - $50.29)
