Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor on the Clinical Scholar pathway in Metabolism, Endocrinology and Nutrition. The position is a joint appointment with the University of Washington and focuses on clinical care and academic scholarship.

The successful candidate will provide outpatient and inpatient endocrinology services, participate in teaching fellows and trainees, and develop externally funded clinical research in endocrine

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent).
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Washington.
• Board eligibility or certification in Endocrinology.
• Expertise in the care and management of individuals with Endocrine neoplasia, including ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration of thyroid nodules is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient and/or inpatient endocrinology services based on interest and institutional need.
• Teach fellows, conduct informal teaching sessions and formal lectures to learners, providers and the medical community.
• Pursue externally funded clinical research in endocrine neoplasia.
