Job summary

OSF HealthCare in Bloomington, IL seeks a Clinical Educator to autonomously and collaboratively provide education for orientation, competency, and skill-building of staff. You will design, implement and evaluate education programs to enhance patient care, aligned with OSF goals and best practices.

Required are a Bachelor’s degree, RN licensure, BLS, and at least 1 year of direct patient care, plus strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

• RN licensure in state; BLS certification.

Pay range for this position is $40.42 - $58.01/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Clinical Educator functions autonomously and in collaboration with the health care tem in clinical practice, quality and safety and leadership roles. The clinical educator is responsible for providing appropriate education, which includes assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating orientation, education, competency, and skill-building needs of OSF HealthCare employees to enhance the quality of patient care services. The clinical educator ensures such programs are based on the principle of delivering care appropriate to the patient population served using innovative, high quality education in accordance with best practice and in alignment with the strategic goals and clinical initiatives of OSF.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree
• Experience: 1 year of direct patient care
• Licensure/ Certification: Current state license RN. Current American Heart Association healthcare provider BLS.
• Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: MSN
• Experience: Previous nursing leadership role.
• Licensure/ Certification: Clinical specialty, professional development or nursing education.
• Other Skills/ Knowledge: Program and curriculum development in nursing education.
