Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta seeks an experienced educator to lead the Neurodiagnostic Training Program. You will design, deliver and evaluate education for clinical and support staff, aligning with patient care standards and accreditation requirements.

You will oversee content development, coordinate with partner schools, conduct needs assessments, and apply LEAN methodologies within the LMS to improve training efficiency and outcomes across the radiology/education teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Allied Health, OR or equivalent combination including neurodiagnostics education.
  • Graduate from CAAHEP accredited neurodiagnostic program with 5 years neurophysiology exp or willingness to obtain credentials.
  • Credentials: R.EP.T., CLTM, IONM, EMG, EP, CNIM, R.NCS.T., DABNM.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates onboarding of new employees with an emphasis on retention and growth.
  • Develops and implements an orientation plan guiding new staff to competency.
  • Coordinates logistics of orientation among stakeholders.
  • Plans, designs, and delivers learning activities using adult learning concepts.
  • Oversees the Neurodiagnostic Training Program content and alignment with accrediting standards.
  • Conducts needs assessments and gap analyses to improve training outcomes.
  • Monitors resource use and documents activities with LEAN and LMS.
  • Maintains compliance with regulatory education records.

Certification Summary
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment

Job Responsibilities
Orientation
  • Facilitates onboarding of new employees including socializing and integrating an employee to the organization with a focus on retention and growth.
  • Develops and implements an individualized orientation plan to guide new employees to job competency or existing employees to changing roles/responsibilities. The plan should align with system orientation programs (e.g., Patient Care Provider Orientation,
  • Coordinates logistics of orientation informing all stakeholders.

  • Promotes compliance with regulatory bodies standards, including the maintenance of educational records.

Education (Program Design)
  • Plans, designs, and delivers learning activities using adult learning concepts and design principles to achieve outcomes for identified target audiences, which may include licensed and non-licensed personnel. Aligns educational programs with organizational and strategic plans to include quality and safety trends.
  • Responsible for overseeing the Neurodiagnostic Training Program including designing and planning content, assessing competency and coordinating directly with partner schools.
  • Conducts learning needs assessments and practices gap analyses through environmental scanning to achieve specific outcomes in identified deficits or improvement in knowledge, skill, or attitude.
  • Independently or in conjunction with provider team, conducts planning to include continuing education or inter-professional continuing education, if desired, in accordance with accrediting agency requirements.
  • Monitors resource allocation and utilization by considering cost-effectiveness of activities.
  • Documents provided educational activities using LEAN methodology and Children’s current Learning Management System (LMS).
