Job summary

The Department of Health Systems and Population Health Sciences at the University of Houston invites applications for an open-rank, clinical, non-tenure track faculty position in medical education. This full-time 1.0 FTE role includes 0.2 FTE clinical responsibilities and focuses on teaching, scholarship, and service within the Physician, Patients, and Populations course.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serve as a course co-director for PPP and other relevant courses.
• Develop and deliver the PPP course with faculty and the broader community.
• Lead clinical skills and health-systems sessions; run small-group learning and assessments.
• Oversee formative and summative assessment of students.
• Assign and submit final grades.
• Identify, coordinate, and evaluate scholarship and service-learning opportunities.
• Conduct quality assurance and semi-annual evaluations; report outcomes.
• Participate in medical school accreditation activities.
• Provide feedback to mentees, staff, and students.
• Contribute to TJFFCOM committees.
• Foster collaborative relationships with colleagues and students.
• Evaluate and treat patients (clinical duties as assigned).
• Maintain electronic medical records; participate in team-based care.
