Overview

Direct Coordination of Respiratory Care Educational Services Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains educational programs for respiratory care staff, and patients.
  • Acts as affiliate faculty member for schools of respiratory care and cardiopulmonary sciences.
  • Assesses and measures educational programs for best outcome, efficacy, and competency.
  • Serves as liaison between Respiratory Care Services and other departments in education and clinical issues.
  • Oversees the orientation scheduling process and ensures continuity of care.
  • Provides infection control and safety training as part of the educational programs for staff and monitors compliance.
  • Facilitates learning and cooperation among staff members.
  • Assists the department leadership with evaluation and feedback of Respiratory Care personnel.
  • Maintains awareness of current theoretical and technical developments in respiratory care; serves as an advisor and resource person; provides intensive technical support when needed.
  • Serves as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the workload as needed.
