Kent State University’s Ashtabula Regional Campus is seeking a Faculty Non-Tenure Track-9 Month position in Physical Therapy Assistants Tech. The role oversees clinical education experiences for students in the program, ensuring CAPTE standards are met and coordinating sites, instructors, and student progress.

The candidate will direct clinical education, recruit sites, and manage student records, with duties spanning teaching, coordination, and oversight of clinical experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• License as PT or PTA in Ohio is required.
• Minimum four (4) years of PT/PTA experience.
• At least two (2) years of teaching experience in a CAPTE-accredited program or as a clinical instructor/preceptor.

Responsabilités

• Direct and coordinate clinical education experiences in line with CAPTE standards.
• Visit and evaluate clinical sites; train clinical instructors; recruit new sites.
• Discuss student progress with clinical instructors; assess clinical competencies.
• Assign students to clinicals for fieldwork; prepare and maintain student information.
• Coordinate activities in psychomotor skills and computer laboratories; supervise student tutors.
