Job summary

Advocates in Framingham, MA seeks a Documentation Specialist to oversee clinical records, ensuring DMH/DDS timelines and standards are met in a full-time, first-shift role. Starting rate is $23.50/hr with a Mon-Fri 9am-5pm schedule.

The candidate will review all paperwork and EHRs, train staff on documentation practices, supervise ACA and CSP writing, and maintain tracking for timely completion while supporting licensing reviews and preserving dignity for those served.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with at least two years of clinical experience.
• Valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle to travel between sites.
• Strong written and spoken English communication abilities.
• Experience using an Electronic Health Record.
• Ability to work independently and provide team support.
• Client-centered, intuitive approach.
• Knowledge of DMH MSDP and Rehab Options preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure treatment plans meet DMH/DDS standards and timelines.
• Review paperwork, records, and EHRs for compliance and updates.
• Meet with supervisors and staff to review documentation.
• Provide training to staff on documentation standards.
• Supervise staff writing ACA and CSP.
• Maintain tracking and notification system for timely docs.
• Conduct ongoing training to uphold high-quality paperwork.
• Collaborate to pass licensing reviews by DHMH and DDS.
• Attend supervision and team meetings.
• Attend trainings and maintain required certifications.
• Ensure individuals are treated with dignity per HR policy.
