Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Nurse CDI specialist to improve the quality and completeness of clinical documentation. You will interact with Physicians, Nursing staff, and coding teams to ensure accurate reimbursement for DRG-based payers while maintaining high documentation standards.

The role requires an RN licensed in Georgia with at least five years of nursing experience. Preferred CCDS/CDIP credentials and a Bachelor’s in Nursing may enhance prospects.

Qualifikationen

• Current RN Licensure in the State of Georgia.
• Associates Degree is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years in the practice of professional nursing.
• Knowledge of DRG coding and clinical documentation.

• Improves the quality and completeness of clinical documentation using CDMP guidelines.
• Educates care team on documentation requirements and coding basics.
• Collaborates with physicians and coding staff to ensure appropriate reimbursement for DRG-based payers.
• Writes queries to clarify missing documentation for codable terms.
• Monitors documentation against core measure quality indicators and addresses non-compliant records.
• Leads and mentors staff in clinical documentation improvement initiatives.
