Job summary

Optum is seeking a Clinical Document Improvement Specialist to oversee the CDI program and guide day-to-day CDI activities during inpatient chart reviews across our client hospitals.

The CDS will collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure documentation fully reflects clinical decisions, treatments, and diagnoses while using Optum CDI 3D technology to improve data quality and support revenue integrity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years acute care hospital RN experience or medical graduate with CDI experience and CDI certification.
• 1+ years experience as a clinical documentation integrity specialist.
• Reside in commutable distance to Greenbrae, CA or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the CDI program and implement CDI processes during concurrent inpatient chart reviews.
• Collaborate with providers and care teams to ensure documentation reflects treatments and diagnoses.
• Utilize the Optum CDI 3D technology to improve data quality and revenue integrity.
