Job summary

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare seeks a Cardiovascular Services Director to plan, organize, and direct cardiovascular operations across assigned facilities. You will monitor standards, set strategic goals, and lead associates toward exceptional patient care.

You will develop long-range plans, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance while fostering collaboration across departments and educational initiatives. This role emphasizes continuity of care and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, implements, and controls cardiovascular services activities and operations at assigned facility(s); monitors operations to ensure standards and objectives are met.
• Formulates long-range business plans for cardiovascular service operations; sets goals and develops strategies for meeting those goals; anticipates problems and prepares contingencies.
• Directs the activities of Associates and students; monitors performance and clarifies work expectations; promotes cooperation among individuals and groups.
• Develops and implements orientation, training and education to ensure staff competence is assessed, maintained and improved.
• Develops and administers budgets for operational areas, authorizes expenditures, and monitors financial indicators.
• Develops and maintains performance standards including quality assessment/improvement programs; standardizes operations for efficiency and quality.
• Investigates trends and developments in cardiovascular practice; introduces new procedures; establishes policies in line with regulatory guidance.
• Provides leadership for educational programs for students and staff in collaboration with the administrative team; participates in professional organizations.
• Maintains relationships across departments; acts as a resource for problem solving in cardiovascular services; oversees patient and staff satisfaction.
• Oversees supply management and contracts within the department; introduces new products and monitors cost control.

Assists in the development and implementation of plans to control costs and improve department operations.* Develops and maintains performance standards to include quality assessment/improvement programs. Responsible for monitoring of patient and employee satisfaction. Conducts root cause analyses to determine and correct underlying issues.* Oversees supply management of each department.
