Job summary

Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program seeks a Clinical Director to lead a dynamic multidisciplinary team and ensure high-quality clinical care. You will supervise therapists, oversee clinical operations, and guide program development while collaborating with executive leadership.

Responsibilities include running treatment teams, overseeing admissions, staff training, and ensuring compliance with the Discovery Mission.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate in a relevant field is required.
  • License and ability to provide clinical supervision is required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience with eating disorders is required.
  • CPI, CPR/AED, First Aid, and ServSafe certifications must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Must possess a current driver’s license and be in good standing.

Job description

TheClinical Directorworks in a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing treatment services according to the Centerfor Discovery Clinical Model.Clinical Directorresponsibilities include ensuringpatientsafety, providing milieu interventions, leading psychoeducational and process-oriented therapy groups, facilitatingclinical assessments,and clinical supervision and oversight of the program.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee and ensure quality of clinical aspects of the program and takes the initiative to make improvements.
  • Facilitates weekly treatment team meetings to ensure consistent and effective communication, including proper oversight ofpatientprogress and ensures a team approach is being utilized.
  • Assists in admission processes and understands role in ensuring expeditious access to care for those seeking services.
  • Trains all new clinical employees within their scope and coordinates training with clinical team members.
  • Provides support to milieu staff to ensure patients are receiving the highest level of clinical care, at all times.
  • Conductswith the Executive Directorall 90-day, annual performance reviews, and growth plans for therapists within the program.
  • Manages clinical employees’ schedules to ensure appropriate clinical presence.
  • Providesadequate and ongoing training of facility employees, and sufficient oversight/supervision to ensure that all services are in keeping with the Discovery Mission Statement.
  • Supports in facilitating monthly employee training courses ensuring that all mandated trainings are completed throughout the year.
  • Completes utilization reviews, oversees primary therapist process of utilization review and assists in the process of assuring that allpatientstays are authorized (i.e. insurance, private pay, etc.).
  • Maintains apatientcaseload as dictated by census and assigns cases based upon the appropriate clinical match with each therapist.
  • Leads or co-leads3-4process groups and/or any additional clinically oriented groups everyweek. Provides oversight of all other groups conducted.
  • Communicates with referral sources and outpatient providers for continuity of care upon admission, midpoint, and discharge, including the use of Discovery Connect.
  • Attends outreach events and supports relationship management in the community
  • Facilitatespatienttransfers to a higher level of care, as needed.
  • Ensure discharge planning is adequate and complete for all discharging patients.
  • Participates in clinical outreach and facilitates program tours as needed.
  • Facilitates Multi-Family, Family Program and/or Family Weekend.
  • Supervises all therapists within the program and provides clinical consultation, as needed.
  • Supports in training new therapists within the organization.
  • RTC Only:Provides on-call support to the facility at least 1x per month and communicates with the On-Call Administrator and returns all phone calls within 20 minutes.

Core Competencies:

  • Ability to run groups effectively AEB providing a check-in, engaging all members, and providing structure to group format.
  • Able to show effective writing and communication skills AEB documentation review, email timeliness, and verbal communication with staff and patients, add timeliness with documentation Ability to support in meal prep and meal support AEB accurate portioning, following proper kitchen safety & sanitation guidelines, engaging patients during meal, and able to provide redirection as needed.
  • The ability to manage staff in a way that improves their ability to succeed on the job AEB creating a staff schedule, program schedule, and run a staff meeting.
  • Ability to lead a group of individuals at a multi-disciplinary level AEB overseeing the hiring, training, development, and day-to-day management of employees.
  • Ability to manage and have knowledge of different operating systems including but not limited to Human Resource (HR), Microsoft 365, Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and Compliance software systems. AEB submits documentation and inspections on a timely basis.
  • Ability to make and take responsibility for decisions in a timely manner AEB making decisions in alignment with policies, procedures, and company directives

Knowledge, Education, and Experience:

  • Master’sor Doctorate degree in relevant field, required
  • License, and ability to provide clinical supervision, required
  • Minimum of two years of experience workingwith eating disorders, required
  • Obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire
  • Obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire
  • ObtainServSafecertification within 90 day of hire
  • Must possess a currentdriver’slicense and be in good standing

Arbitration Agreement:

As a condition of employment, all candidates must agree to and sign a pre-employment arbitration agreement. This agreement requires that any disputes arising out of or related to employment with Discovery Practice Management will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than through litigation in court
