Job summary

Acorn Health is a leading ABA provider seeking a BCBA-licensed Clinical Director to broaden access to care in ChampionsGate, FL. The role includes oversight of clinical teams, program development, and collaboration with families in diverse settings.

The ideal candidate holds a BCBA, 3+ years of BCBA leadership, and a strong background in data-driven autism treatment, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in ABA or related field required.
  • Active BCBA certification required.
  • Minimum 3 years of BCBA experience.
  • Experience leading ABA teams.

Responsibilities

  • Drive execution of key service, quality and growth initiatives.
  • Manage day-to-day operations including staff and scheduling.
  • Execute clinical policies and procedures.
  • Promote a therapeutic environment considering client input in treatment plans.
  • Provide clinical management and oversight to BCBAs, BCaBAs, and RBTs.
  • Solve supervisee progress issues via behavioral data reviews.
  • Conduct staff and caregiver trainings.
  • Reference literature and attend conferences to inform evidence-based treatment.
  • Complete annual performance evaluations for BCBAs, BCaBAs, and ABA Supervisors.
  • Identify performances enabling supervisees to achieve measurable client outcomes.
  • Maintain a reduced clinical caseload with direct client work.
  • Participate in hiring of technicians, BCBAs, BCaBAs, and supervisors.
  • Handle sensitive employee relations with integrity.
  • Coordinate with administrative teams on records and payer relations.
  • Attend meetings as required by the Regional Clinical Director.

Acorn Health is looking for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join us as a Clinical Director as we increase access to care in the ChampionsGate area!

You’ll have the opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment and engage in a wide range of activities, focused on providing behavior analytic assessment and treatment services in our clinical centers, at client homes, and/or in community settings.

What our Clinical Directors do:
  • Responsible for driving the execution of key service, quality and growth initiatives
  • Manage or assist in managing the day-to-day operations of all services, including staff and client scheduling.
  • Execute clinical policies and procedures.
  • Promote a therapeutic environment for all clients, ensuring client input is fully considered when developing and carrying out treatment plans.
  • Provide clinical management and oversight to a team of BCBAs, BCaBAs, and RBTs.
  • Problem solve issues with supervisees when insufficient progress toward client goals/outcomes is observed via a review of relevant behavioral data.
  • Conduct staff and caregiver trainings.
  • Regularly reference behavior analytic literature and attend relevant conference and workshops in order to best inform evidence-based treatment.
  • Complete annual performance evaluations for all BCBAs, BCaBAs, and ABA Supervisors to determine potential for improvement and ensure treatment integrity.
  • Pinpoint performances that allow supervisees to achieve measurable outcomes valuable to the client.
  • Maintain a reduced clinical caseload, involving direct assessment and treatment of clients.
  • Participate actively in hiring process of behavior technicians, BCBAs, BCaBAs, and ABA Supervisors.
  • Handle sensitive employee relations issues with integrity, either individually or with the assistance of Human Resources
  • Communicate with Acorn Health administrative teams including Admissions, Payroll, Finance, Billing and Human Resources to assist in staff and client records management and payer relationships.
  • Attend meetings as required by the Regional Clinical Director.

  • Compensation Range: $90,000-$177,600/yr.
You're perfect for the position if you have:
  • A master’s degree in ABA or a related field
  • An active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
  • 3 years of experience as a practicing BCBA
  • Knowledge of best practices in the treatment of autism
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families
  • Experience serving in a leadership/management role for an ABA providerExperience managing teams, projects, and meetings
  • Proficiency with ABA data collection and practice management systems such as Central Reach
  • Are able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, in English
  • Have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and satisfactory driving record
  • Meet the physical requirements of the position, to include lifting of packages, or equipment, and accessing non-barrier free premises
  • Enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team approach to develop and implement client treatment plans
  • Have strong organizational skills, are detail-oriented, able to maintain records, prepare reports and reliably develop timely correspondence related to work
  • Are able to pass a background check
  • Have the flexibility to work independently when needed, but also enjoy working as a part of the larger team

Note: This position requires a Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBA) from the BACB. Data and Business Analyst candidates cannot be considered due to payer restrictions.
