Qualifications

• US citizenship required; VA policy governs citizen eligibility.
• RDN or RD required; must be registered with CDR.
• Non-credentialed applicants may qualify for temporary roles with restrictions.
• Master's degree and KSAs for clinical dietetics are required for higher grades.
• Experience in outpatient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments using NCP and ADIME.
• Develop and implement Medical Nutrition Therapy and monitor outcomes.
• Modify plans to improve patient outcomes and ensure safe care.
• Document nutrition care accurately in the medical record.
• Collaborate with health care team and participate in meetings.
• Provide nutrition education tailored to Veterans and families.
• Utilize virtual care technology to improve access to care.
• Maintain productivity and data for performance improvement.
