Job summary

Intermountain Health in Billings, MT is seeking a Clinical Dietitian / Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) for a full-time acute care hospital role. This position offers hands-on training, mentorship, and a clear path to Clinical Dietitian Specialist, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus or relocation assistance.

Open to both RD and Clinical Dietitian Specialist levels, compensation includes hourly pay with a strong benefits package and opportunities for growth within the clinical nutrition team.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or registration eligible. If hired in registration eligible status, must pass the exam within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) as an RD/RDN to patients in acute care and specialized populations.
• Apply the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) to assess, diagnose, and manage complex nutrition needs in a hospital setting.
• Provide advanced nutrition counseling to support behavior change and improve patient outcomes.
• Utilize clinical nutrition tools and technology to develop personalized care plans.
• Support and mentor dietetic interns, new graduate dietitians, and clinical nutrition staff.
• Implement evidence-based nutrition practices in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Manage nutrition care across the continuum, including discharge planning and DME ordering.
• Independently write and manage nutrition-related orders within scope of practice as an RDN.
