Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to assess patients, develop individualized nutrition plans, and provide counseling as part of the healthcare team.

You will review orders, implement medical nutrition therapy, and educate patients and families on dietary needs related to treatment. A bachelor’s degree in dietetics/nutrition and 1–2 years healthcare experience are required; active licensure/registration is preferred. Competitive salary range offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in dietetics or nutrition required.
• Equivalent education/experience may be considered.
• Active licensure/registration with relevant bodies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient assessments to establish diet and food guidelines.
• Review patient medical orders for nutrition relevance.
• Develop and implement individualized medical nutrition therapy plans.
• Provide therapeutic nutrition support including enteral and parenteral methods.
• Educate patients and families about diet in relation to treatment.
• Document care plans and patient responses in medical records.
• Coordinate with physicians and nurses to optimize nutritional care.
