Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in dietetics or nutrition is required.
• 1-2 years experience in a healthcare setting.
• Current state licensure/registration required; active membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required; CNSD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to establish diet and food guidelines.
• Develop and implement medical nutrition therapy plans.
• Provide nutritional education to patients and families.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses and other health professionals.
• Monitor and adjust therapy to achieve nutritional status.
• Document care plans and patient responses in the medical record.
• Supervise dietary staff and participate in nutrition committee meetings.
