Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Food Service, Nutrition or related field.
• Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• State licensure or certification as required by practice state.

Responsibilities

• Screens and assesses patients for nutritional risk factors per protocol.
• Prepare Nutrition assessment and diet prescription recommendations.
• Plan nutrition care goals and document in medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams on patient needs.
• Provide nutrition education to patients and staff; develop materials.
• Maintain accurate records and assist in program development.
