The Clinical Dietitian at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center is responsible for collecting information and developing care plans, counseling patients and families on nutritional requirements, and consulting with the health care team. You will assess, design, implement, and monitor medical nutrition therapy to support treatment goals.

You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals, provide patient education, and ensure documentation and adherence to quality

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in dietetics or nutrition required or equivalent.
• 1-2 years healthcare experience required.
• Current state licensure/registration required; Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics membership preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assess patients to establish diet and food guidelines.
• Review medical orders and develop medical nutrition therapy plans.
• Provide education on nutrition and monitor patient progress.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals.
• Develop or obtain patient nutrition education materials.
• Document care plans and outcomes in medical records.
