Job summary

MedStar Health seeks a Clinical Dietitian to assess patients, craft individualized nutrition plans, and monitor outcomes within a multidisciplinary team. The role includes supporting nutrition therapy (enteral/parenteral), coordinating with food service, and educating patients to enhance treatment progress.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in dietetics/nutrition, 1–2 years of healthcare experience, and current licensure/AND membership. CNSD preferred and CDR registration recommended.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in dietetics or nutrition is required.
• 1–2 years of healthcare experience are required.
• Current state licensure/registration required and active AND membership.
• CDS – CNSD preferred; registration through CDR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to establish diet and nutrition guidelines.
• Review medical orders and develop individualized MNT plans.
• Provide therapeutic nutrition plans including enteral/parenteral support.
• Collaborate with food service to ensure diet prescriptions are met.
• Educate patients and families on nutrition and treatment impact.
• Document care plans and patient responses in medical records.
