Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food & Nutrition Science plus accredited dietetic internship is required.
• Master’s degree required if completed after January 1, 2024.
• 5–7 years progressive clinical nutrition experience required.
• 3–4 years with a specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consults with physicians and allied health professionals regarding patients’ nutritional statuses and diet plans.
• Develops nutrition assessment, evaluation and follow-up plans and documents in the medical record.
• Provides diet rationale for in/outpatients and self-management.
• Participates in rounds, meetings, and cross-coverage; supports Neonatal ICU and Pediatrics if needed.
• Reviews literature and presents findings in Journal Club; presents case studies yearly.
• Maintains credentials, licensure, and memberships; participates in licensing surveys.
