Job summary

Sutter Health's SRMC-Sutter Roseville Med Center is seeking a qualified Registered Dietitian to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and Diabetes Self-management Education/Training (DSMT). The role emphasizes patient assessment, monitoring, and clear communication with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure high-quality care.

The position is part-time, dayshift, with rotating weekends and a 24-hour weekly commitment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an ACEND-accredited degree program and supervised practice.
• Credentialing must be completed within 45 days of hire prior to billing.

Responsibilities

• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and/or Diabetes Self-management Education (DSMT).
• Assess and implement the patient's plan of care based on diagnosis.

Exercises sound judgment and developed clinical skills to implement the patient's plan of care based on the diagnosis in a timely manner. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring and care, and effective communication. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.

• Completion of an accredited degree program and a supervised practice program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics

Typical Experience

• 2 years recent relevant experience

Skills And Knowledge

• Provides complex care using a strong understanding of human anatomy, pathophysiology, pharmacology, laboratory results, and medical terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
• Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
• General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and electronic health records (EHR).
• Ability to:
• Interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
• Work autonomously, as well as part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options. Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI).

Pay Range is $53.98 to $75.57 / hour

The posted pay range is based on the position's primary work location. Candidates who reside and work outside of that location may be subject to a different pay range based on their work location.
