Job summary

Chinese Hospital is seeking a registered dietitian to plan and deliver nutritional care for patients. You will screen at-risk patients, develop care plans, document in the EHR, and educate patients and families.

The role requires Cantonese/Toisan and English communication, supervision of dietetic staff, and collaboration with the FNS and Patient Care Teams in an acute care setting. The position is full-time and on-site.

Qualifications

• Able to communicate effectively in Cantonese (or Toisan) and English.
• Current certification as a Registered Dietitian in the state of California.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to successfully pass pre-employment health screen requirements.

Responsibilities

• Directs and conducts therapeutic nutrition programs for patients in the acute care hospital and SNF units in accordance with the hospital standards, policies and regulatory requirements.
• Reviews trayline reports and uses EHR to screen and prioritize patients at nutritional risk.
• Develops Daily Patient Worksheet according to level assignments and dietary functions.
• Records all pertinent information in the EHR regarding nutrition assessments, treatment plans and goals.
• Trains and supervises dietary personnel in the provision of accurate trays to all patients.
• Interacts with patients and families, provides diet instructions and participates in interdisciplinary team meetings.
